Brookline Woman Followed Home By Stranger: Police

BROOKLINE, MA — A resident of Chatham Street was followed home by a stranger Tuesday evening, said Brookline police in a news release. Police said the women was walking home to her address around 4 p.m. when she discovered she was being followed. Once she arrived at home, she entered the house and locked the door while the suspect walked around the property to try to gain entry via doors, windows, and the bulkhead. The homeowner was not on scene at the time, but used the audio controls of the Ring Doorbell to remotely ask the suspect if he could help him, said police. The suspect then left the property. Investigators released a video of the suspect here, noting that the insignia on his sweatshirt says Boston Handy Works Pine St. Inn - Social Enterprise.
