United States Biological is a local, growing manufacturing company seeking enthusiastic individuals to be part of our team. We specialize in thousands of antibodies, ultra pure molecular biology reagents, cell culture media and enzymes. Position: Manufacturing and Packaging Associate Department: Manufacturing Status: Full Time Starting Pay: $17/hr Location: Salem, MA 01970 Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the packaging and manufacturing of biochemicals, biologicals and cell culture media in a clean room environment. All work is carried out according to cGMP, including wearing personal protective masks, Tyvek suits and other disposable garments. You will be responsible for following and fulfilling daily manufacturing and packaging assignments to be completed within an allotted and required timeframe. This position is also responsible for providing assistance to the Shipping Department during heavy volume production days. Requirements: The ideal candidate is experienced with manufacturing and packaging in a clean room environment with extreme attention to details and works well with others. A higher education or knowledge in biology is a plus. Candidates must be able to consistently lift up to 50lbs and be able to work on their feet during most eight hour days.
