Good Thursday morning Connecticut, Two more days of 70-degree weather for us, and then the inevitable cooldown comes this weekend. Saturday will feature a mix of clouds and sun and temperatures around 60 degrees and more sun is expected on Sunday with temperatures in the low 60s. It looks like we may see rain showers Monday and Tuesday of next week. New TV meteorologist hired Ryan Breton, a Maine meteorologist for an NBC affiliate there, will be moving to Fox 61 in November. In a social media post, he announced that after nearly 5 years as News Center Maine, he is joining Fox 61 in Hartford. "I'm filled with gratitude," Breton said on social media. "I've had a great run here, thanks to you. We've weathered many storms together, from the five tornadoes on July 1, 2017, to the destructive fall wind storms, and dozens of snow events. I gave it my all every day. I tried my best to get it right for all corners of this big state, and explain science in a way you could understand. It's been an honor. "There are so many talented, good people I've worked with here. I'll miss our weather team, especially the friendly debates over snowstorm forecasts. I won't miss waking up at 3AM, but I will miss the morning crew. It will be weird working a snowstorm without the Storm Center music in my ear! I'll be back (a lot) to visit. We still have a few weeks left together. My last day on the air is November 8." THANK YOU, MAINE After nearly 4.5 years at @newscentermaine, I've decided to take the next step in my career. I've loved my time here. Excited to head to southern New England and join our sister station @FOX61News in Hartford next month!https://t.co/aPz8FLbpK9 pic.twitter.com/qKFnzvKRdr— Ryan Breton (@RyanBretonWX) October 19, 2021 See also: CT State Lawmaker Arrested: Feds The state official, who also works for a Connecticut community, is accused of defrauding the town out of more than $630,000, federal authorities said.>>>Read More.
