Based in Miami Beach, we are first-time parents looking for an amazing career nanny for our 5 month old son. This position is ideal for a candidate who is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about working with infants and being an integral part of their growth and development. The nanny should be hands-on throughout the day, from reading books, to coming up with developmental activities, to ensuring our son gets outside every day. Knowledge of developmental milestones and early childhood education is required! We both currently work from home, so we would like to be involved during the day. The nanny should be a guide and resource but we would also like to take the lead and jump in for fun activities. This position involves travel, both domestic and internationally. Position Details - Hours/Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Mondays through Fridays between 8am-6pm. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and traveling with the family is appreciated! The family would welcome an applicant interested in 50-70 hours/week and 5 to 7 days/week, but this is not a firm requirement for the right person. The family is also open to a rotational schedule with 2 nannies splitting the month (days on would consist of 24/7 on-call care). - Live-in/Live-out: Live-in preferred. Private and separate nanny accommodations in the family’s home will be provided. The family would be open to a live-out set up for the right candidate. - Compensation and Benefits: $30+/hour depending on experience, in addition to healthcare benefits - Start Date: The position will begin as soon as the family finds the perfect fit! Other Notes: Driving is required for this role. Candidates with their own vehicle preferred, though a vehicle may be provided for professional use – all negotiable for the right candidate. Knowledge of Spanish is preferred but not required. Responsibilities - Research and implement age-appropriate developmental activities with an emphasis on reaching developmental milestones - Prepare bottles and support transition to solid food as well as prepping healthy, balanced meals - Promote positive learning methods and emotional intelligence - Maintain flexibility for family’s dynamic work and leisure travel schedule - Collaborate with loving first-time parents to ensure continuity of care - Support sleep and feeding routines - Travel with the family frequently throughout the year and assist with travel preparation for the baby - Pitch in with child-related household tasks including meal tidying, organization, and more, maintaining a team-oriented positive mindset with the parents and household staff Qualifications - At least 5 years of professional, full-time childcare experience - Valid driver’s license and passport - Proven experience and confidence caring for infants and strong knowledge of developmental milestones - Experience with early toddler stages as the baby grows - Passion for child development and a proactive approach to implementing age appropriate, enriching activities - Interest and commitment to continuing professional development - Flexibility to adjust to travel itineraries and shifting schedules - Strong swimming skills and ability to care for children in/around water - Though not required, the family would welcome a candidate with Spanish language skills and prior professional teaching experience - Candidates seeking a long-term role will be prioritized - Bachelor’s degree or higher strongly preferred - Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws and ​​willingness to mirror the family’s COVID-19 safety protocols *Please attach your current resume with your response - Thank you!*
