Press release from Johnson City Parks & Recreation: October 20, 2021 Nature program coordinator Connie Deegan and Larry McDaniel, park naturalist for Bristol, Tenn., will welcome visitors to Winged Deer Park's Robert Young Cabin, 4137 Bristol Highway, as the sun sets for a short talk about owls. The pair will lead participants on a leisurely walk along the park's wooded trails. Using specific owl calls, Deegan and McDaniel hope to locate some of the owls that live in the park. This free event will be held 6:15-7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27. All ages are welcome and registration is not required. Flashlights are recommended. For more information, call 423-283-5821.
