Here are the top stories today in Des Moines: Maginda Hayner, 20, of Des Moines, was charged with operating without owner's consent 8:57 p.m. Tuesday at 150th St and Uban Avenue in Adams County. Deputies were notified Tuesday of a possible stolen vehicle parked on the side of the road, approached the vehicle, and ran the plates. An Adams County deputy located Hayner walking away from the truck in rural Adams County. Hayner was detained at that time. (crestonnews.com) Des Moines police are investigating to determine if there is a connection between four different Git 'N Go convenience store robberies. In each of the robberies, the suspect either showed a weapon or told the clerk he had a weapon. Des Moines police Sgt. Paul Parizek said surveillance from Git 'N Go will help with an accurate suspect description.
