Automation Personnel Services is looking for hard-working warehouse associates in the Madison AL area. Under the supervision of the warehouse manager and/or team lead, the warehouse worker is responsible for the receiving, sorting, storing, taking inventory, picking, auditing, packing, and shipping of merchandise. Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for operating equipment such as sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift and a tugger • Receive products, empty trucks and stage items for sorting • Ensure that trucks are loaded correctly and ready for shipment of items • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage • Perform labeling, sorting, and re-packing as needed • Perform inventory procedures accurately and with the utmost integrity • General business support function as assigned • Ships and receives cargo following processes and procedures • Performs product selection and package preparation for shipment • Assists with pallet and cargo preparation • Follow process for correct labeling of picked orders • Keep facility clean • Sort and group according to labels on racks and prepare pallet for shipping • Move boxes and items using a tugger Forklift Operator Requirements and Qualifications • High School Diploma preferred • Basic math skills • Basic computer knowledge and skills • At least 1 year of forklift experience or the ability to learn how to drive a forklift • At least 6 months of prior warehouse experience preferred • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist during shift, up to 8 hours or more • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to read and follow direction • Ability to sit for long periods of time up to 8 hours or more Job Type: Temp to Hire Benefits: • 401(k) • Health Insurance Schedule and Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Bonus Opportunity!
