Press release from the City of Millbrae: 10/21/2021 9:32 AM Following the Pledge of Allegiance and City Manager's Update, the Millbrae City Council unanimously approved, on a vote of 5-0, items 5 and 7 on the consent calendar. Item 5 – Approve, by Motion the Quarterly Investments Schedule for the Fourth Quarter of Fiscal Year 2020-21. Item 6 – Following further discussion, the City Council unanimously approved, on a vote of 5-0, the cancellation of regularly scheduled City Council meeting of December 28, 2021. Item 7 – Adopt Resolution Approving and Authorizing Execution of the Second Amendment to and Restatement of the Joint Powers Agreement Establishing the Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance (Commute.org) to include 3 new JPA members: Menlo Park, Portola Valley and Woodside. Item 8 – Under new business, the City Council unanimously approved, on a vote of 5-0, a resolution authorizing the City Manager or designee to execute an amendment with the County of San Mateo to provide police services in an amount not to exceed $6,594,172, with an option to increase by an additional $150,000 for supplemental downtown patrol services for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. Item 9 – Under new business, the City Council unanimously approved, on a vote of 5-0, the waiving of the first reading and introduce ordinance amending Title 2, Chapter 2.20, Sections 2.20.050 and 2.20.060 of the Millbrae Municipal Code related to supplies, nonprofessional services, and equipment and public projects and maintenance work. Item 10 – Under new business, the City Council unanimously approved, on a vote of 5-0, a consideration of a resolution adopting a mitigated negative declaration and adopting the Active Transportation Plan. Item 11 – Under new business, the City Council unanimously approved, on a vote of 5-0, a resolution declaring the City's intent to transition from an at-large election system to a district-based election system, and directed staff proceed with the required public meetings.
