Here are the top stories in Los Angeles today: The Los Angeles City Council has voted to suspend Mark Ridley-Thomas due to the allegations of public corruption and subsequent indictment. (KTLA5) The City Council proposal that was submitted on Tuesday gives city employees until December 18 to show proof of vaccination. Mayor Eric Garcetti says they "should be prepared to lose their job" if they still refuse to get the vaccine by then. (FoxLA)Former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords unveiled a new memorial on Tuesday to bring awareness to the thousands lost to gun violence every year. The over 3,400 vases with white flowers each represent a Californian who died to gun violence in 2020. (abc7)Advocates are pushing the City of Los Angeles to adopt a "right to counsel" law similar to those adopted in NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, and more in order to prevent evictions.
