Here are the top stories today in Jackson: The team at Children's of Mississippi collaborated for children's cleft care. The team, with approval from the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association is holding a multidisciplinary clinic twice a month. Families who attend the clinics can meet with specialists and get the resources they need. (WJTV)Hinds County Drug and Gun Interdiction Task Force came together to fight illegal drugs and weapons in the community. The group is comprised of detectives and sergeants from the Hinds County Sheriff's Office and the Jackson Police Department. (WAPT Jackson) 'We Are the 74', a group that supports medical marijuana, protested outside of the Mississippi governor's mansion. (WJTV)Two lawsuits were filed against Jackson because of dangerous levels of lead found in the city's water. (WAPT Jackson) Shanks and drugs were discovered during a shakedown at Hinds County Detention Center on Wednesday night, which led authorities to believe that an inmate experienced assault from other detainees.
