ELMHURST, IL — A man was charged after an incident at a softball game Tuesday at Berens Park in Elmhurst. About 8 p.m., Carlando J. Hurt, 47, of Hammond, Indiana, was cited on a battery charge. He was released on bond. Police said Hurt threatened an umpire and struck him in the shoulder. Patch has filed a public records request for the full police report on the incident.
