The Village of Skokie is currently accepting applications for a seasonal Maintenance Worker position in our Public Works Department. In this position you will assist with solid waste collection using hydraulically controlled tippers; pavement maintenance & repair; landscaping maintenance & litter control; and tree removal and maintenance. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Must have flexibility to work 2 – 5 days per week, not to exceed 1,000 hours in the 12-month period following date of employment. Hourly pay rate: $15.55 - $17.14, DOQ. This position is not eligible for any benefits. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a H.S. diploma or equivalent; valid Driver’s License required, CDL Class B preferred. You must be in good physical condition & able to work in all outdoor weather conditions. This position requires a physical examination and drug screening prior to employment.
