This position reports directly to the Director of Parks and is the most senior planning position. Works as part of the senior leadership team with department Director, Deputy Director and other Division Managers. For more information and to apply for the position click the brochure link below: Division Manager of Planning & Design Brochure The primary focus of this Division Manager is to manage Parks' Capital Improvement Program, with a current allocation of $33M and $74M in deferred maintenance. Projects range from managing the design and construction process for new parks, major park facilities and improvements, to smaller renovation projects and park enhancements. The position directs the work assignments and projects of employees within the Division, such as architects and engineering technicians, and assigns, reviews, and facilitates collaboration among Parks Divisions. Ideal candidate must be determined to be a part of a visionary team, a clear and effective communicator and project management focused. This employee assists the department Director in managing departmental activities, and provides support to the Director in all areas of the assigned department. The incumbent directs the work assignments and projects of employees within the division and assigns, reviews, and participates in the work of staff responsible for assigned division.  The incumbent ensures work quality, adherence to established policies and procedures, and the more technical and complex tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility.
