COBB COUNTY, GA — The Georgia Department of Transportation released the weekend lane closures Thursday for Cobb County, some starting as early as 9 p.m. Friday and others starting Sunday.
Most of the lane closures are on State Route 360. Here's when lanes will be closed on the road:
One lane will be closed northbound and southbound on SR 360/Powder Springs Road between Sandtown to Macland roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday. Crews will be patching and milling the roadway as part of a $2.4 million resurfacing project, scheduled for completion in spring 2022.One alternating left or right lane will be closed eastbound and westbound on SR 360/Macland Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday, and from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Crews will be patching and milling the roadway as part of a separate $2.4 million resurfacing project from New Macland Road to Windy Hill Road.One lane will be closed on SR 360/Powder Springs Road between Lost Mountain Road and State Route 120 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Roadway message boards and traffic flaggers will help drivers through the closures. This is part of a $88.2 million project to widen SR 360 from New Mackland Road to SR 120/Charles Hardy Parkway to two lanes in each direction, add a median and add sidewalks in each direction, scheduled for completion in November 2023.
