Bass player just for fun

I'm a bass player, age 63, looking for more opportunities to play. Styles in the funky/jazzy/rock/soul departments, like Traffic, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Beck, Rickie Lee Jones, Steely Dan. More obscurely, I like the quirky melodic reverb-soaked chill of Tommy Guerrero. Oh, and Beatles, early Kinks, XTC, and later Roxy Music. Motown stuff too. Okay, throw in a couple three chord rock-n-roll tunes too. I like supporting strong melodies of singers or instrumentalists; chord progressions that have room for a little improvisation--the jazzy side of the Dead for example. I'll usually have time to play one evening a week. I like performing, but probably not until spring when we can do outdoor gigs again, at least until Covid subsides. I am vaccinated and want to play with vaccinated people. I have practice space, simple drum set and PA.
