GRADING CONTRACTOR HIRING LABORERS. Consideration requires the following: RESUME!!!! Name, Phone Number, Email, Work History & Date of Availability. Basic Requirements  Valid Driver’s License  Reliable attendance with your own transportation to jobsite.  Need to have good communication skills.  Ability to follow instructions.  Adaptable to changes in schedules.  Able to work overtime, and weekends if needed. Laborers: Characteristics of the class Under immediate supervisor, preforms physically demanding labor and assist skilled trades workers on our construction sites. Duties include but are not limited to:  Prepares work sites, digging and backfilling trenches.  Sets bracing and shoring equipment  Excavates and grades ground leveling base and concrete  Operates and maintains pneumatic tools (e.g., jack hammers, concrete paver breakers>)  Uses hand tools (e.g., shovels, picks, Sledgehammers.)  Loads and unloads materials and equipment from trucks and ensures proper tools and equipment are on work site and in working order.  Helps lift and place materials (e.g., pipes, valves, hydrants, castings into trenches using pipe sticks, ropes, dollies.)  Sets up barricades, safety cones, and steel plates around worksites  Directs vehicular/pedestrian traffic around work sites.  Operating fire hose  Clean up jobsite  Construction of retaining walls  Be physically able to lift 50-90 Lbs. multiple times over course of a shift.
