iXCells Biotechnologies is seeking an experienced Shipping/Facilities Assistant to provide broad support to the Shipping/Facilities Manager by maintaining lab facilities, replenishing lab supplies, preparing shipments and coordinate collection of biohazard/chemical waste. The successful candidate will possess facility experience maintaining building related equipment and lab support activities. The candidate will be assisting the Shipping Manager to prepare shipments for local, domestic, and international orders. The Shipping/Facilities Assistant must pay close attention to details, be analytical, have good written and oral communication skills, work well in a team setting and work well under the supervision of the Shipping/Facilities Manager. The Shipping/Facilities Assistant will be responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory management, and facilities related activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Summary of Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Prepare and handle temperature sensitive biological products for shipment to customers Prepare all necessary shipment paperwork, create & label boxes and prepare shipment packages Ensure accuracy of shipping labels, trace sheets and actual shipment contents; Using shipping software such as Fedex, DHL and UPS to create shipping labels. Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all iXCells Facilities, including the management of building utilities (high capacity CO2 tanks, LN2 tanks and cryogenic LN2 freezer) Monitor, assist in collection and safe disposal of hazardous materials, such as biohazard/chemical waste Perform other support activities such as ordering supplies, stock inventory checks, collection and distribution Must maintain a consistent and good attendance record in accordance with Company policy Perform other tasks or duties as assigned from Sales, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Development and Production Team Work well under deadlines Lifting up to 50lbs is required Qualifications and Skills Positive Attitude with a Teamwork spirit Valid CA driver's license and has good DMV driving record Reliable, Accountable and Dependable Quick learner Good computer skills Previous experience in shipping/receiving is required.
