SHIFT IS 2PM-10:30PM Position Title: Plant Sanitation Technician Plant Sanitation Technicians are dedicated to cleaning and maintaining sanitary conditions across facilities as part of the food safety team. They are responsible for using cleaning materials and applying them in accordance with best food safety practices as identified in the facility Food Safety Plan, and in accordance with instruction by the Lead Operator for Plant Sanitation. Job Functions Essential Functions: Execute on instruction from supervisors Performs routine plant sanitation protocols in production areas in support of production operations per master sanitation schedule Ensures conformance of plant operations to sanitation standards Ensures safe practices are maintained in executing sanitation protocols Maintain sanitation maintenance logs and reports as instructed Becomes trained and is knowledgeable on Plant Operations SSOPs and HACCP guidelines as part of the facilities Food Safety Plan Perform general facility maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning, etc. of common areas as instructed Strives to continually improve through additional training and being an integral part of the sanitation team Physical Activities or Demands Perform daily manual labor tasks such as: sorting, cleaning, sweeping, lifting. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate plant vehicles and equipment. Lifting and transporting of heavy objects Position Qualification Requirements: Skills and Abilities Highly self motivated and directed. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues. Ability to safely operate machinery, follow company safety policies, and to monitor the safety of fellow employees Skill in performing basic numerical computations and recordkeeping. Skilled in both verbal and written communication. Ability to work in a team oriented environment and take direction from others
