This is a full-time position, with a full benefits package, at our Gardena, CA warehouse location. Responsibilities We are looking for a detail-oriented warehouse associate to support our company's operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. This job will involve picking, packing, shipping and receiving educational materials (books, maps, etc.). This position will also be involved in our manufacturing operations (maps, globes, etc.) and kitting of comprehensive curriculum packages. In addition, this position will work directly with management and coordinate with other departments (such as customer service, purchasing, marketing), The successful candidate must be highly organized, attentive to details, a clear communicator, flexible, and a team player able to handle several projects at once. Required Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a high-volume, interactive warehouse or fulfillment operation. • High school diploma or GED • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office • Experience using the UPS shipping system • Relevant mechanical operation experience is preferred • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills • Strong critical thinking skills Please supply: • Resume • Cover letter indicating compensation expectations--only applications containing this information will be considered Social Studies School Service is a national publisher of high-quality educational materials.
