Temporary move to L.A. for February

Hi, My name is Rick Ford. I currently reside in Detroit, MI. I recently lost my mom in February of 2021, and I'm not quite ready to make "big decisions." But, I am considering a temporary move to Los Angeles, for 1 month in February. I know that rent out there is expensive. But, I was wondering if someone possibly has a spare room to help, if I could offer $500 for a temporary 1-month stay. Or, if someone could help point me the right direction, it will be so much appreciated. I plan to come back to Detroit in March, since I have so much to take care of at home.
