Description
Forming a new project in Gainesville and looking for the right drummer. We have practice space (can leave drums set up), professional PA, professional personal gear, and positive attitudes. We all work or have other life gigs so this is part time, maybe play gigs 1 to 2 weekends a month at local venues/parties. Our ages range from mid 50s to 60s. We are experience players and are committed to a quality music project with attention to detail, timing, instrumentation, and to be productive when we rehearse songs.
We are looking to play Petty, Bowie, Beatles, Dylan, Wild Cherry, Stones, Rare Earth, Stevie W, Pink Floyd, Motown, Eagles, newer artists and some crossover country like perhaps Skynyrd, Dwight Yoakam or other. Of course other artists as well, but this should offer a sense of the genre. Song choices seek to be fun for people to listen to - sing along, dance, or that are up-beat and enjoyable.
We are seeking a commitment to practice once a week and perhaps twice a week early on to prep for gigs.
Vocal talent is welcome - lead and harmonies desired.
If this sounds good to you, reply and offer a bit of information about your interests, experience, and equipment.
