Safely receive and move a variety of incoming/ outgoing parts and material by procedure. Spin chips produced from raw materials with machinery. Essential Functions: • Assemble orders, check against shipping or customer orders, report shortages & follow-up to locate items or incomplete orders • Perform computer functions necessary to track products • Check incoming materials against purchase orders for shortages or defects and mark materials as required • Spin chips, filter and store oil • Keep Supervisor advised of problems/records of other significant information • Maintain appropriate paperwork, records and material/product receiving reports • Follow the company quality management standards to ensure product quality and uniformity • Move/expedite material to proper department or storage • Safely operate a forklift as required • Responsible to keep inventory of materials organized (by P.O. numbers, alloys, shapes and location) • Keep inventory and supplies stocked (lube and cutting oils etc.) • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area • Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment specific ie. forklift and chip spinner • Follow prescribed safety guidelines and regulations • Follow work instructions and priorities as established by department supervisor • Perform other reasonably related duties assigned by supervisor or manager Work Environment Employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is loud. Hearing and eye protection is required at all times. Physical Demands: • Regularly lift and move 10 lbs and frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms to push and pull; stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
