Ummm....why do we have to be the "World Police"? Why is it "our job" to defend Taiwan? Is this not something the UN was created for to resolve? Why is it okay for us to stick our nose into everyone else's issues? And yes I don't agree with the notion of one country invading another (gee we don't do that do we?) I am always amazed at some people's view that WE should do something. You people piss and moan about spending money on healthcare and immigration reform but have no problem spending hundreds of billions defending people around the world. More times than not it's a business thing. Not about democracy, or human rights, just money. But that's okay in your world? Really? Probably keep up propaganda war, airspace violations and the like. If Taiwan won’t come to the bargaining table escalate- Full scale war games If Taiwan won’t..— Air Embargo If Taiwan won’t— Air and ocean embargo If Taiwan won’t—- Air blockade then later ocean If Taiwan won’t—- Some shelling, a few missile strikes If Taiwan won’t— At about the blockade stage China will start looking for excuse for military action such as Taiwan shooting down aircraft. They then would invade with that excuse. Of course if it gets to full blockade something would have to happen as Taiwan would be starved out eventually. My guess is Sleepy Joe will react with cowardice and a false show of strength maybe with some bravado trade restrictions etc. His sons art work may fetch the Chinese a very handsome reward.
