Position(s) Available: Residential Field Service Technician Job Responsibilities: Install, maintain and/or repair Plumbing and/or HVAC for both commercial and residential customers as needed. Daily review of schedule appointments up to a week in advance making sure all parts/equipment and any other needs are in place, in truck ready for dispatch of each job. Travel to job sites in service area and communicate with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained, any delays are properly communicated to the customer and there are no “time gaps” between appointments. Be available to work night and weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers. Obtain approval from Dispatch for any scheduling changes to the on-call schedule. Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, scheduling regular maintenance with dispatch, and submitting a monthly vehicle inspection form. Vehicles should be washed, cleaned, and organized on a regular basis. Maintain sufficient stock of parts, tools, materials, and safety equipment in your assigned vehicle. Diagnose diverse service issues, determine any replacement parts required, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations and explain fully to the customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct it. Required Skills: Preferred 5 to 7 years’ experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse Plumbing and/or HVAC related service issues. Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and manuals. Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations. Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time, in the most efficient timeframe possible, with minimal “down time” between appointments and minimal “non-appointment” time. Other Requirements/Standards: Well groomed, neat appearance. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Valid Social Security number. Willing to submit to and pass mandatory and random drug testing as required. Lift up to 50 lbs., be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices as necessary), carry ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, work in inclement weather.
