Join us for a unique experience photographing Sturbridge Village in the holidays. Located an hour west of Boston, Sturbridge Village is a proud replication of an 18th-century New England town. Sturbridge Village is a living history museum that features many authentic period buildings and homes to explore and enjoy. The village is also inhabited by re-enactors who provide colorful insight to life in New England during the 18th century. Sturbridge Village is a wonderful destination for a multitude of photographic opportunities as well as a glimpse into a bygone era. For the holiday season, Olde Sturbridge Village will be featuring their annual Christmas by Candlelight. During this time, the village is decorated and the people of Sturbridge recreate many of winter traditions, not just from the holiday season. This is a unique and different look to Olde Sturbridge Village, excellent for both those who have and have not been previously. Olde Sturbridge Village is perhaps one of the best places to have both a Photo Walk and a class. There's a little bit of everything at this living history museum, from macro and closeup with fine details to architecture, from portraits to landscapes. We will photograph both indoors and outdoors, in regular light as well as very low light. We will discuss how to work with subjects to create a story, and also work on settings to fine-tune focus and exposure! This Photo Walk is one of the best opportunities to build your photographic knowledge, no matter what level. This walk is equally as beneficial as a first walk or a twentieth walk, as the area has so much to offer! Join us for a great experience! During the era of COVID, all actors will be wearing masks.
