How has Covid impacted your business over the last 2 years? How can the State of Rhode Island help Scituate Businesses? What Federal, State or other funding might be in the pipeline to help our members? What do we need to do to qualify for some of this funding? Is there any help available to help us build a bigger and more technologically advanced workforce?
The news outlets have been touting that Governor Dan McKee wants to create a small business friendly State Budget for fiscal year 2023. He is pushing the State Legislature to free up some of the millions of dollars in federal APRA funding. His plan involves spending approximately $100mil on small business, education, housing and child care. How can we get some of that funding to grow our businesses?
The Scituate Business Association will host our next member “networking” event at 9:00am on Wednesday November 3rd at Granite Farm Restaurant. Our featured guest speaker will be Stefan Pryor, Rhode Island’s Secretary of Commerce. He oversees and coordinates the State agencies and offices responsible for economic development, business regulation, housing, and workforce development.
While we interact with our fellow businesses over breakfast, He will tell us what we all want to know. He will answer each of our questions. He will make note of our concerns and bring them back to the State House.
Advance registration is necessary. Cost per attendee is $15 which includes a family style breakfast of eggs, toast, coffee, and juice.
