Do Walk - Navigate Earth, Mind and Body author, Libby DeLana (@parkhere) will join us for an powerful evening sharing how the simple act of walking can be the most important form of self care. Drinks and locally curated treats will be served. The Event One morning in 2011, Libby decided to go for a MorningWalk every day, no matter what. As a result she has circumnavigated the earth. It quickly became the single most powerful part of her day. This book is a collection of lessons, stories, tips, and a splash of inspiration. Libby is the founder of #thismorningwalk and is currently featured in Magnolia Journal. The Cause Established in 1998 by a group of mothers who craved better recreational space for their children to grow, The Marblehead Family Fund has raised funds for most of the playgrounds we all enjoy today. Projects include the Gerry Playground (Stramski Way), Devereux Beach, Bud Orne, Seaside, Hobbs, The Telescope at Chandler Hovey Park and the Spyglass at Fort Sewell. Their current project is the rebuild of Hobbs Playground. About Libby Libby Park DeLana is an award-winning executive creative director, designer/art director by trade, who has spent her 30+ year career in the ad world. She was the Director of Design at MullenLowe for 15 years, then went on to co-found the agency Mechanica. Libby’s work has been featured in The One Show Awards, CannesLions, and in publications including D&AD, Fast Company, Ageist, Graphis, and Communication Arts. She has been profiled by the BBC Radio 4 series The Chain and several podcasts. Libby is committed to purpose-driven organizations. She is currently on the Board of Directors for BlinkNow and The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, and she is an advisor to It's August. An advocate for female leadership, an aspiring pilot, avid fly fisherwoman, fan of a strong cup of tea and mum to two tall, smart, kind men.
