One of South Florida’s largest and well respected landscape development companies is looking for a reliable, knowledgeable and driven Project Manager to join the team. The Project Manager will oversee various construction job sites, providing direction to site superintendents, which includes establishing schedules in accordance with work orders and ensuring successful completion of the work. Coordinate field work crew requirements with material procurement/logistics to ensure timely operations. Responsibilities include: • Ensure that all construction services are provided according to contract specifications & drawings, are within budget and on schedule • Represent the company, interface and cultivate relationships with owners, clients, architects, general contractors and subcontractors. • Develop detailed schedules and scope of work proposals to support the Preconstruction process. • Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents. • Manage labor force & subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are in line. • Review and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase orders. • Review and forecast budgets • Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement • Provide guidance and process to maintain quality, safety through accident prevention programs. • Demonstrate essential leadership and model behavior with respect to ethics and integrity, safety, quality and customer service by example including promotion of the Company culture. • Document daily construction activities including pictures of site and work in progress. • Implement and manage project schedules. • Draft and issue all project documentation including RFIs, pay applications, drawing logs, etc. Verify that drawings, as well as any other essential documents are kept in order and current to successfully manage the process. • Ensure timely completion of all punch list items for completion turnover. • Communicate effectively [written and orally] with subordinates and Sr. Management. • Other essential responsibilities as necessary. Job Requirements Skills/Qualifications: • Previous construction superintendent or management experience required • Experience and detailed knowledge in the landscaping industry is a plus. • Operator and safety certifications are a plus • Must have a clean driving record and be available to travel statewide • Must have full computer literacy including effective email communication skills. • Experience with high volume project turnaround This employer participates in E-Verify Superior Landscaping is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Drug-free workplace employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
