Update!!!!
Recently retired Naugatuck Police Detective Chip Schofield was diagnosed with Cancer. In his career, Detective Schofield dedicated himself to those in need. With this unfortunate news, it is time for the community to give back to someone who has done so much for others. On Sunday May 3rd, 2020 the Naugatuck Masonic Lodge will be hosting a benefit for Chip and his family. We will be sponsoring this event at the Naugatuck Event Center, located at 6 Rubber Avenue Naugatuck Connecticut, in the Gem Room of the facility. Tickets will $25 per person and kids under 12 are free. There will be food, music, and raffles. All proceeds to this event will be donated to the Schofield Family.
If you or your business would like to make a donation to this cause email the organizers at [email protected].
Folks, a quick update to what is going on with this event. Unfortunately, we were anticipating being in a different place than we are. Due to the COVID restrictions and after much thought we have collectively come to the conclusion to postpone this event once again. We will be looking to reschedule this even some time in the winter, but we unfortunately are going to continue to have to react to COVID restrictions for this type of event. We will update everyone shortly.
On a positive note, Chip Schofield has been doing great and has had a lot of positive news about the success of his treatments. He and his family are so grateful for all of the support and we all hope to get everyone together to support this struggle. We are all trying to balance support with the safety of everyone. Please continue to bare with us as we identify a safe and supportive enviornmen t for everyone.
