Now Hiring – Helper for Commercial Door Industry As an apprentice, you will assist in the installation of commercial overhead doors and loading dock equipment while learning the proper installation methods. There is room for advancement in the company to become a technician in your own truck. • Must follow directions provided by Technician to assist in completing Uninstallations/ Installations and repair, including, but not limited to assistance in. Assist with trouble shooting and repair problems; miscellaneous as needed. • Schedule will be based on Technician schedule daily; Rides with or meet Technician at designated location prior to start • Must be familiar and utilize hand and power tools to install, repair and maintain garage doors. • Must be able to operate various forklifts (scissor, warehouse, genie) for delivery of doors and hardware plus materials on job sites. Fear of heights is not ideal. Aerial and lift training preferred. • Must be able to adhere to regulations, policies, procedures and safety requirements on job sites. • Must be able to maintain company vehicle, including truck maintenance and accounting for equipment and tools. • Must practice all safety requirements and company policies while driving company vehicle and installing equipment at job sites. • Must assist in cleaning up all trash from job site. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Driver License Required Experience or certification in welding, a plus but not required Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass Random drug tests Must be able to pass Houston Safety Council classes Must be able to obtain a T.W.I.C card Weekly salary, based on experience and knowledge of previously mentioned requirements. Monday-Friday schedule, some weekends as needed.730AM Prompt Non-negotiable start time. Our office is location at Beltway 8 and Highway 90. You will be required to report daily at the above time.
