Our company performs environmental restoration projects in parks, preserve areas, ranches and wildlife management areas. Specifically, we remove invasive/exotic vegetation using herbicide application and other removal methods then install native plantings, trees, grasses, etc.. This position involves driving a company van to pickup labor crew members in Labelle and drive them to project sites in Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Collier counties. Other duties include filling water tanks for herbicide mixing, moving supplies throughout project sites using off-road vehicles and doing routine maintenance of vehicles. Vehicle maintenance is very simple things such as greasing bearings and cleaning. Pay is $15.00 per hour to start with raises for obtaining pesticide applicator license and other certifications. We work 10 hour days on site and our drivers receive an additional 2 hours per day for drive time for a total of 12 hours per day. 60 hours per week. Occasional travel is required for out of town projects. During projects that require travel lodging and per diem are provided by the company. Out of town projects are a small part of our work schedule. Usually 2-3 weeks total. A clean driving record is necessary for this position. Experience is preferred but not required as we can train you. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: Company provides masks and sanitizer. Majority of work is outside so social distancing is easily achieved.
