Description

Hey Tucson! I just moved here from Portland and am hoping to join a band or get something else off the ground. I spent the last 11 years up in the PNW and was in a few bands that I'll post links for below. I was the singer, guitarist, songwriter, as well as recorded and mixed all the tracks for the below bands. I'm 34 years old and have been in bands since I was 15, I know the ropes and play a bit of everything. The Fauxriginals was my last project (ska-punk) and we had a really great thing going until covid hit and PDX shut down. We garnered a decent following and were gigging out a few times per month. We were just a bunch of music nerds that grew up on Descendents, Green Day, Less Than Jake, NOFX, that type of thing. Lately, I've been really getting into some more of the newish Reggae/rock type stuff a la Rebelution, Expendables, Dirty Heads, Ballyhoo, etc. I just enjoy a good hook that gets stuck in your head where people can sing along almost immediately whether it's a slow reggae jam or a fast skate punk beat. I've sung and played guitar in every band I've ever been in and am interested in just singing in a project if that opportunity arises. I love arranging vocal parts and am a big fan of harmonies. I listen to everything from Queen, to Motion City, to Operation Ivy, to Mad Caddies, to The Aggrolites. My tastes are all over the place but if it has good vocals, a killer hook, and the instrumentation is tight and there, I'm down. Hit me up if you think I'd be a decent fit for your band or if you're interested in any or all of this and have some ideas. Look forward to hopefully hearing from some of you out there and meeting some new folks.
