Tickets cost $100.00 each and a limit of 250 tickets will be sold. 10-packs of tickets are offered at a reduced rate of $750.00 and are available to a single entrant, not groups. The winning ticket will be pulled on Tuesday, February 15th at the club's regular meeting at Brightview Senior Living in Wakefield. All proceeds will benefit the local and international humanitarian projects of the Wakefield Rotary Club. 50% will go directly to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. Wakefield Club Secretary explained, "This is the third time we've offered this contest. Past winners went to Taiwan and Hawaii! The prize is amazing and we hope to raise a lot of money for our upcoming projects and the food pantry." The club is known for its many local projects including providing dictionaries to third graders, hosting personal hygiene product drives for the food pantry, supporting the Police K-9 Program, and its work to improve access to mental health education. Internationally, the club supports the world-wide eradication of polio, clean water and sanitation programs, child and maternal health, basic education and literacy, environmental conservation, economic and community development, and peace and conflict resolution.
