The purpose of this event is to engage the community and receive input on MPS’s capital program.
Newly hired construction program management firm, Volkert Inc., will host a community forum to engage stakeholders and receive input regarding new construction, renovations, and additions related to the Montgomery Public Schools capital projects plan.
In August 2021, Volkert Inc. began facilities assessments and demographic studies on the district’s 52 schools. Volkert Inc. is committed to working collaboratively with and through the community at all stages of this process as they move forward over the next several years to improve outcomes for the district.
Last November, the citizens of Montgomery, AL passed the ad valorem tax increase, which will address much-needed building repairs, innovative learning programs for students, and additional resources for educators.
