OAK CREEK, WI — The Oak Creek Fall Festival is set for a return this week. The annual harvest tradition brings music, vendors, pumpkins and all things fall straight to Drexel Town Square. Saturday will mark this year's return of the celebration. It is planned to run 9 a.m.-6 p.m., 361 W Town Square Way. Alongside the music, games and food that the festival plans to bring, visitors should also be able to get a final glimpse of the Oak Creek Farmers Market. Saturday happens to be the final day of the market's season, so be sure to get your fall harvest in. Some of the activities planned for the event include craft vendors, caricature artists, face painting, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, live music and a costume parade at 1:30 p.m. If your eyes are on the pumpkin decorating, take note: To participate in the pumpkin decorating event, a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Salvation Army is required, a city official told Patch. Need a book? Bookworms in need of a fresh fall read will be in luck: The Friends of the Library Book Sale will return during the Fall Festival outdoors. Live music is planned from Classic Avenue, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and the Sam Guyton Trio, 2 p.m.-6 p.m. More information can be found at the city's website. A previous version of this article said scarecrow building, caramel apples and music from Random Maxx would be part of the Fall Festival. This article has been updated with new details. The library book sale is taking place outside, not inside.
