NEW BERLIN, WI — No one was injured after a fire in a single-family home early Wednesday morning in the 14500 block of Fieldpointe Drive, according to a news release from the New Berlin Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
The New Berlin Police Department also responded to the scene. Authorities received a call around 1:30 a.m. reporting smoke coming out of the home's second-floor bathroom. Firefighters did not see flames or smoke coming out of the home when they arrived, the news release said.
Further inspection found light smoke coming from the back of the home. The master bedroom and bathroom were the sources of the smoke, the news release said. A minimal amount of water was used to extinguish the area and fans were used to ventilate the house.
None of the home's occupants sustained immediate injuries, the news release said. Two fire engines, one ladder truck, an ambulance and a shift commander responded to the scene Wednesday morning.
