Take a walk on the wild side. Although the exotic, “newest thing” is always popular in the garden world, natives have a whole lot to offer. They require little to no watering and fertilizing (really!) They are beautiful, propagate easily after a few years but are rarely an overgrown problem. In many ways, when well-managed they are a gardener’s dream. Most of all, they provide much needed nectar and habitat for native pollinators like solitary bees and butterflies. Learn how you can do your part for our pollinators while still maintaining a beautiful yard. Participants will have their choice of several native plants to take home to begin their native garden.
