11th Annual Captain John Tinsley 5K, hosted by Florida State University Army ROTC The members of the FSU Seminole Battalion are proud to present the 11th Annual Captain John Tinsley Memorial 5k. Each Year the race is held in honor of our Seminole Battalion Brother, Captain John Tinsley who was Killed In Action on August 12th, 2009 in Afghanistan. CPT. Tinsley was a member of the 2nd BN, 7th Special Forces Group as well as an FSU Alum. On November 7th, 2021, we will join the FSU Family in conducting a 5k run to honor Captain Tinsley as well as raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
