Press release from North Haven Camera Club: Oct. 20, 2021 North Haven Camera Club will be presenting 'Photoshop Layers, Beginners and Advanced' by renowned photographer Betty Wiley on Tuesday, Nov. 2nd at 7pm via Zoom. Betty Wiley is a well known free-lance photographer, educator, and sought after speaker residing on Cape Cod and her images have frequently appeared in various local magazines. She teaches photography and processing workshops at various venues on Cape Cod and for camera clubs and other organizations throughout the New England area. Her workshops and classes receive rave reviews from attendees and she is well known for her skill in the digital darkroom. This presentation is designed to demystify layers and masks in Photoshop and you will see the many ways that these tools can be used in your photo editing workflow. Layers and masks are really quite simple to use once you understand the basics. Once you understand how to use layers and masks, you can easily do composite images, use powerful editing features such as levels and curves, edit-non destructively and selectively, as well as use blend modes and so much more to enhance your photos. North Haven Camera Club is currently meeting virtually on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. The first Tuesday is devoted to informative presentations or workshops. The meeting on the third Tuesday of the month is devoted to a photo competition where members can get great tips for taking better photos.
