Forrest and Toliver walk 100 miles for DogFest Washington DC

"After suffering a traumatic brain injury in 2011 there were literally years when I couldn't stand up or walk one step unassisted. My service dog Toliver helped me get through the hardest days of my life. Without him I don't know where I would be today. Now that I am able to attend college at GMU, Toliver is still by my side. His 10th birthday was on October 11, 2021!!! Even though Toliver has slowed down a bit, we are determined to reach our goal to walk 100 miles together in the month leading up to Dog Fest Washington DC on October 23rd! Help us get to our fundraising goal by donating online for each mile we walk, so we can get more amazing Canine Companions Service Dogs into the lives of those who need them.
