More sunshine on Sunday with high temperatures only around 60 degrees. Fire at former hospital site There is an active fire at the former Elmcrest Hospital property in Portland, according to media reports including WFSB 3 TV. The fire has forced detours near the 69 Marlborough St. site. The former hospital, a psychiatric facility, closed in 2006 and has fallen into disrepair, according to media reports. It's unclear what caused the fire. Officials said they feared this could start a precedent which could lead to other drive-thru proposals in the area from service stations or convenience stores. Traffic concerns were also cited. Booster shots may expand to those 40 and older CNN reports that booster shots may be recommended soon for people over the age of 40 for those who received either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine shot, as shared locally by WFSB 3 TV. The reason for the change is that the number of hospitalizations for people under the age of 65 who are fully vaccinated has been increasing across the country. Currently, booster shots are only available to people over the age of 65 and those with specific health concerns. (Read more here).
