CONNECTICUT — The coronavirus positivity rate has come back down to earth, with overnight numbers reflective of the positive downward autumn trend following a spike to nearly 3 percent on Tuesday, according to the latest set of data released by the Department of Public Health.
With 384 cases confirmed Tuesday, out of 20,427 tests taken, the daily positivity rate reported Wednesday afternoon was 1.88 percent.
Hospitalizations dropped overnight by 22 beds. As of Tuesday, there are 226 people being treated for the virus inside Connecticut hospitals. Fifty-seven of those, or 25.2 percent, are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to DPH.
Most of those hospitalized (71) are in New Haven County.
