Election 2021 In Jefferson County: More Than 25K Ballots Returned

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — More than 25,000 ballots have been returned so far in Jefferson County ahead of the Nov. 2 election, officials announced Wednesday. Ballots are coming in by drop box and mail, said George Stern, the county's clerk and recorder. "If you have not received your ballot, please contact our office," he said in a county elections update. Ballot Returns 8,525 from Democrats 7,381 from Republicans 9,257 from unaffiliated voters237 from minor party voters "There's no reason to wait to return your ballot by taking advantage of one of our 36 secure 24-hour drop boxes or via the U.S. Postal Service," Stern's update read. "Visit our locations page to find the drop box nearest you (including many that don't even require you to get out of your car!)." Important Election Dates Oct. 25: Last day to return your ballot by mail to ensure it arrives in time, and first day in-person vote centers are open. Nov. 1: The Jeffco Clerk and Recorder's Office will take voters' questions and give them a front-row seat to the county's ballot processing center via a Facebook Live video tour at 1 p.m., officials said.Nov. 2: Election Day. You can use any drop box up until 7 p.m., or if you need additional services (registering to vote, getting a replacement ballot, etc.), you can use any vote center up until 7 p.m. as well.
