LAKEWOOD, CO — A person was injured in a fire that broke out in a house in Lakewood Wednesday morning. Crews were called to the fire in the 1800 block of South Yank Place, West Metro Fire said in a tweet posted around 6:39 a.m. The person was hospitalized, but the extent of their injuries was not known. The fire started in the living room of the home, fire officials said. The blaze was out by 6:30 a.m. and crews began investigating. The cause of the fire was not yet known.
