Indian Clubs and Mace Training Intensive Workshop
We delve into the history, applications and benefits of incorporating Indian Clubs and Mace Training
The intention of this workshop is to create a safe and solid foundation of practice through the introduction of regressions and progressions. Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine technique...If you attended last year's workshop; we will review the basics while introducing body turns and how to sequence patterns.
These modailites are rich in history and utilize mobilty, strength, coordination and rotational power ( complimentary with other training modalities). Indain Clubs and mace can help you decompress after sitting for long periods of time, improve coordination/dexterity, shoulder/core strength, and enhance fitness and sport performance.
The workshop will be broken down into 2 segments with a 30min lunch break...The first 2 hour block will focus on Indain Clubs Fundamentals and how to create basic sequences. After our break, we will move onto Mace Training basics elvoving around the hisortical swings of the 10&2's and 360's. I will be bringing some traditional gadas from my collection to expierence the differences between a steel mace and gada.
Equipment Recommendations: due to Covid, I'm changing my format. I will have plenty of indian clubs and maces available for you to borrow during the event or you can bring your own.
