OAK LAWN, IL — Richards High School business education teacher Jamie Soderstrom the past few years has organized a mock trial project for his Business Law students. They experience the many facets — prosecution, defense, witnesses, judge and jury — featured in litigating criminal trials. The trial happens later this semester. On Monday he welcomed State Rep. Kelly Burke (36th District), a licensed attorney, who will serve as an advisor for one of the teams of lawyers. Burke also will participate on the day of the mock trial later this semester.
