Capital Region Felon Accused Of Probation Violations: Marshals

CONCORD, NH — The U.S. Marshals-New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public's help finding a capital region felon who is wanted on probation violation warrants issued from two superior courts. Shawn Aaron Jacques is 38, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighs around 225 pounds. He has blue eyes and blonde hair. According to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal, Jacques has tattoos on his back, chest, left leg, and right arm. "Jacques is being sought on an arrest warrant issued by both the Belknap and Merrimack County Superior Courts for violations of probation," White said. "Jacques is on probation for a 2019 conviction of possession of fentanyl and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon. Jacques was last known to reside in Franklin, NH but his current whereabouts are unknown." The warrants for his arrest were issued on Oct. 5. According to superior court records, Jacques has a criminal history dating back more than 17 years. Back in 2004, he was arrested and pleaded guilty to burglary charges in Laconia. In August 2007, he was accused of receiving stolen property in Bristol and pleaded guilty in July 2008. And back in November 2009, he was accused of rape in Franklin, having been charged with four counts in February 2010. All four charges were nolle prossed. He later pleaded guilty to simple assault. In February 2017, the evidence from the case was sealed. In March 2019, Jacques pleaded guilty to a felony theft charge out of Franklin while in June 2020, he was convicted on a felony receiving stolen property charge out of Waterville. In October 2019 and February 2020, Jacques faced two drug possession and five weapons possession charges in Franklin and a drug possession charge in Boscawen as well as weapons, narcotics possession, and violation of probation charges out of Tilton. In July 2020, he pleaded guilty to five of the charges. In August 2020, he pleaded guilty to drug possession charges out of Salem from 2019. He was scheduled to have a deferred sentence hearing on Sept. 29 and has a new deferred sentence hearing booked for Nov. 10. Also, in November 2019, Jacques was accused of a fake sales receipt retail UPC code charge in Tilton. That case is still open. Jacques was accused of drug possession in Concord in August 2019 and later, pleaded guilty to the charges. The case was reopened on Oct. 4 due to a violation of probation allegation.
