CONCORD, NH — Patrick Stephen Walsh, 62, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 8:08 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2021, on breach of bail and resisting arrest or detention charges. Officers were sent to the clock tower on North Main Street for a report of an intoxicated man yelling at people. They were unable to locate anyone. However, shortly after the initial call, the complainant called again saying the man in question was now at Cumberland Farms on North Main Street. Officers went to the store and identified the man as Walsh from "previous police interactions." Walsh, the officer wrote in an affidavit, smelled like alcohol, was slurring his words, was swaying on his feet, and his knees kept buckling. Officers took him into protective custody. After being cuffed and during a search, Walsh was accused of calling one of the officers "a b---- multiple times" and began twisting and distorting his body. "Patrick was screaming that what I was doing was illegal because I didn't have a search warrant," the officer wrote. Walsh was accused of attempting to strike the officers to break away from them and he was taken to the ground. After hitting the ground, the officer reported Walsh was bleeding from around his eyes and a cheek so they took him to Concord Hospital. He reportedly blew a 0.158 percent portable breath test.
