Description
I've been a musician in Denver for 20+ years, finally getting around to writing something on my own. I've got nearly an album's worth of songs that I'd like to explore next steps for.
Right now the songs I have are pretty complete, however I need some real drums on them, and a producer's ear to improve the parts that are weak.
The drums would need to be recorded in a studio/home studio setting. I can handle most things on my end but I am not equipped to record drums.
It's important to feel the overall vibe of what I'm trying to accomplish, but I'm open to producers and drummers of any genre or background. If you're interested just shoot me an email and I'll send my concept tracks on over. I am a sax and keys player, and the music right now is all instrumental. The best way I can describe it is acid-yacht jazz haha. It's an electric-focused downtempo mix of moody horns, synths, pads, piano and organ.
Would be interested in seeing what a strings player could add to the mix, as well as an ethereal-sounding female vocalist. But those are wish-list items right now.
I have a couple more tracks to really nail down, but figured I'd start the collaboration search now to see where this all goes.
Ideally I'd find collaborators first, people who like the sound and want to be on an album (I would front the cost for enginerring, mastering, etc.) but open to just hiring musicians flat-out as well. Just as long as you're into the sound.
Let me know if you're interested in learning more or hearing the concept tracks.
