LYONS, IL — Two Chicago police officers were taken to the hospital after being shot in Lyons Wednesday night, a police spokesman said. According to officials, both officers were pursuing a vehicle when they were shot and wounded at around 9:45 p.m. The pair was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, where their conditions were not immediately known, according to CPD spokesman Tom Ahern. Police did not immediately respond to questions on where or how the officers were shot, but residents on the West Side noted a large police presence near the 8000 block Ogden Avenue at around the time of the shooting.
